Merlin Final Conference | From Smart Collection to Innovative Valorisation
One of the challenges that the future European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation will open up in Europe is to improve the recycling of complex plastics. To achieve this, high-performance, cost-effective technologies for sorting, delaminating, and recycling complex materials like PET and polyolefins have been developed in the European MERLIN project.
Those will be presented in the framework of the MERLIN Project’s grand finale: “From Smart Collection to Innovative Valorisation” Conference on 27th of November 2024 at ITENE in Valencia, Spain.
This hybrid will feature presentations from key project partners, including ITENE, the European Commission, and leading research institutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about:
- Economic, environmental, and legal considerations surrounding the implementation of these solutions.
- Advanced sorting and delaminating technologies for multilayer packaging.
- Innovative recycling processes and the creation of new packaging materials from recycled waste.
Participants will be able to visit the MERLIN showroom, where the project’s technologies will be showcased.
In addition, attendees will have the chance to book B2B meetings also with the keynote speakers.
